Google Fiber Optic - How you can support Madison's bid
03/10/2010
When Google announced it was planning to build an ultra-high speed broadband network in one or more test communities, cities across the nation began developing elaborate campaigns to attract the company’s attention (Topeka, Kansas even changed its name to “Google")
The City of Madison has taken a less outlandish approach and is focused on building a broad range of community support for the project. Although light on specific criteria, Google has trumpeted community support as a key factor in their selection.
With that in mind, here are ways you can support the City of Madison application:
1. Fill out this survey to share why you support bringing Google fiber to Madison.
2. Become a fan of Bring Google Fiber to Madison on Facebook.
3. Fill out this Google form to nominate Madison for Google fiber.
4. Attend the public meeting on Thursday, March 11, at 7:00 p.m. at Olbrich Gardens.
