Madison has a typical continental climate for interior North America, with a large annual temperature range and frequent short period temperature changes. The absolute temperature range is from 107°F (city office) to -37°F (Truax Field). Winter temperatures (December through February) average 19.4°F and the summer average (June through August) is 68.6°F.
