The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce thanks all of our exhibitors, sponsors and attendees for helping to make the 2010 GMCC Annual Business Expo a record-setting Chamber event.
The Expo grew and moved in 2010 to the Alliant Energy Center Exhibition Hall. With the larger space, the Expo expanded to a new record of 155 exhibitors - ten more than 2009's record-setting 144 (and 20 more than 2008). Further, exhibitors were pleased overall with this year’s varied options for booth set-ups and creativity.
The annual Expo luncheon also set a new record and drew 450 people to hear Kathryn Jeffers’ keen take on “Leadership in Everyday Life.” This is 50 more attendees than 2009 and an increase of 130 more than 2008.
Most important, overall general attendance climbed this year to 1,500 – growing 20 percent from 2009’s all-time high of 1,200. The crowd was notable during the mid-afternoon with steady traffic throughout the exhibitor aisles.
The GMCC staff heard very positive feedback overall from exhibitors throughout the event and are currently working on ideas to make the 2011 Expo even bigger and better.
